June 29 & 30, 2014 Storm Chase

Joined SEVERAL other chasers in Western Iowa on Sunday for another episode of “how many chasers can be on one cell”.  Followed a lone supercell as it traveled just north of I-80 from Omaha to DSM.  Never did tornado, but it tried to on several occasions!

Here’s a few damage pics from the Severe Wind Event most of Iowa experienced on June 30th.  Of course I was stuck at work, but toured down S23 in Warren Co on the way home.  Lots of blown over corn, tree damage, and flooding..
