For just a quick overview of what I am currently doing with my life and what I have done before, I've made this page.
I grew up in rural northwest Iowa, near Terril, where I graduated with the first class of Graettinger/Terril high school.
I'm currently attending Iowa State University where I'm majoring in meteorology, currently in my 4th semester of classes.

For a brief history, I saw my first tornado when I was 4 years old during a nightime thunderstorm event. This particular
tornado was on the ground for a total of 18 miles as it followed the path of a highway that was approx. 10 miles to my north.
This should very well be the event that got me hooked onto weather, as in second grade for my 'diary' project I kept track of
different weather phenomena for a couple of weeks. I continued to be interested through high school, taking a job shadowing
job at a local radio station with their meteorologist. While working there I helped forecast and coordinate severe weather
coverage by running the WSR-57 radar. That is something that hardly any new meteorologists can say that they have even seen,
let alone run one during a severe weather event. I continue to be in contact with KICD out of Spencer, Iowa by occasionally
dropping in and helping them during severe weather events by relaying information while I am out chasing. I began chasing
during my senior year in high school and it has continued through now. I plan on continuing to chase storms until I am not
able to drive! For my professional goals and objectives I'll refer you to my Meteorology Portfolio, but I also have several
other plans for my life that as they occur I'll add them to my biography here.
