2016 in Review

As 2016 winds down, I’m sitting here looking over my photos and videos from the past year.  So far for 2016, I have 3600 photos (keepers) and lots of gb’s of video.  I’ve traveled thousands of miles in pursuit of mother nature, as well as the dozens of photo projects I’ve undertaken this year.

This year brought a lot of firsts for me: My first tornado in Colorado, my first 2 week long chasecation, my first star trail photos, and my first time lapses amongst other things.  This year was also the first year I entered contests such as the local county fair and the Iowa State Fair Photo Salon. I also can’t forget the great time I had teaching at this year’s Living History Farm’s Photography Day in September.

Though this year was relatively quiet in regards to weather in Iowa, I still completed / worked on many other photo projects as well as expanded my horizons (pun intended 😉 ) in regards to my photography hobby .

Below I’ve posted a few of my favorites pics from over the course of the last 12 months.

Thanks to all of you that have tagged along with my adventures this year.  I hope you continue to follow along with my adventures into 2017.
