Weather Apps & Programs

I often get asked about apps and programs I use. I’ve finally decided to start a list of apps and programs for various platforms.
Microsoft Windows
- GR Radar Products – Awesome radar viewers
- Digital Atmosphere – Weather forecast / analysis software
- Spotter Network – Chaser/Spotter position reporting. Also features event reporting. Most NWS Offices monitor SN during wx events.
- GPS Gate – Great way to use your gps with more than one program at a time! Also a way to upload your position to Spotter Network without running additional software.
Android Platform
- Pykl3 Radar – A great radar viewer for both phones and tablets. Under active construction. One of the top 2 radar viewers out there.
- Radarscope - The other app I consider one of the top 2 radar viewers. It is also under active construction.
- Weather Geek Pro – View forecast models on the go!
- Storm Chase Buddy – A little app with a lot of features.
iOS (iphones, ipods, and ipads)
- Radarscope – As detailed above
- WeatherWall Mobile – An up and coming weather radar app for the iOS platform.
