Traveling all over the Midwest each year, Mike is always on the lookout for the next potential image, whether at an air show, chasing butterflies along a gravel road, or conducting a family photo shoot.
His award-winning photography has been displayed at various locations and events, including the Polk County (Iowa) Heritage Gallery and the Iowa State Fair.
When not working his full-time career in healthcare or snapping the shutter, Mike enjoys sharing his experiences and knowledge by conducting classes, photo walks, or simply helping organize events. Additionally , Mike volunteers for the US Fish and Wildlife Service at the Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge, focusing on events and photography. Mike loves his volunteer position as it gives him a way to meet new people and merge his love of nature with his passion of photography.
