A potent lil storm on 1June07 spawns tornadoes across E/SE Iowa.
Well of course, I was stuck at work on this glorious day. I really didn’t think much would happen, as the parameters were a little iffy. But of course, Mother Nature decided to spring one on us.
A very intense line of storms moved up through SE Iowa and ended up spawning several tornadoes in far Eastern Iowa. The towns of Grandview, Fruitland, and Muscatine all suffered damage. Thankfully nobody died and only a few people were injured.
I of course didn’t save any of the radar data as I was watching it unfold from my desk at work. However Scott Lincoln has put together a very image intense web page with multiple radar images. You can check it out here.
